Donna Branch-Gilby recently resigned from the position of 1st Vice-Chair of the Arizona State Democratic Party to run for the Pima County Board of Supervisors, District 3.
Donna is a 40-year resident of Tucson. She has a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Arizona. For 20 years, Donna taught supervisory and management skills to Department of Economic Security staff throughout Southern Arizona.
Donna has been a member of AFSCME (American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees) for 20 years. She is a founding member of the Arizona Women’s Political Caucus and has served as a director on the Boards of Tucson Peace Center, Planned Parenthood and Open Inn. Donna also served on the Tucson Human Relations commission for 8 years.
Donna is co-founder and resident of Milagro Cohousing, a sustainable, green design community twelve minutes from downtown Tucson. She lives with her husband Bob Gilby, who is a math teacher at Marana High School.
